I can't believe I never saw this entry- I am actually tearing up a little at my desk. You are so inspiring! And know this...your friends and family really missed you too! A belated welcome home to you good sir!

No way! You are home and you were at Clif and I missed you?! I am bummed.

I have been my own version of a traveling fool this summer, loving every second of it while on my sabbatical - which ends Monday. Even with a mortgage, a husband, and a son it is possible to be footloose and fancy free. Sooo I finally had sometime to catch up on your blog - which I enjoy reading immensely. Thank you.

Something you wrote in this entry is something you should print out and carry with you so you can read it and remind yourself when you feel like your loaded down with too much bullshit and I quote you, "Friends and family, as I’ve learned, are what’s left when everything else goes away"

That sentiment, enlightenment, learning...whatever you want to call it is something you will only discover after returning from a journey.

You have arrived my friend. Everything else is a cake .

Thank you Grady for your wonderfully descriptive, humorous and thoroughly enjoyable blog! I have enjoyed traveling with you by reading it.
It was so great to see you when you were in SF, and hopefully you will be back again soon!
In the meantime, take care and best of luck with the school application process.

With your good looks, and my flight vouchers (24 replenishments coming 1/1/09) we can DO this. LL and I were psyched that you made it to the top of the mountain and look forward to catching up more now that you're non-foreign. Hopefully I can fly you out to SF, assuming you make the right decision. The west is the best...

Gray-Dee, Gray-Dee, Gray-Dee...
(that is all the voices in my mind chanting in unison)
(and that's hard to make them do)

As always, thank you for chronicling your amazing journey.
I am impressed every time I click on my link to your blog.
